Ingrid Salvenmoser (born March 28, 1967 in Scheffau am Wilden Kaiser) is a former alpine skier from Austria. She competed at the 1998 Winter Olympics in the Women's slalom event, finishing in sixth position. Alpine skiing (or downhill skiing) is the sport of sliding down snow-covered hills on skis with fixed-heel bindings. Alpine skiing can be contrasted with skiing using free-heel bindings: Ski mountaineering and nordic skiing - such as cross-country; ski jumping; and Telemark.
