Industrial dispute--Parly to dispute not an industrial unionReference to Court by Registrar--Party not an industrial union made claimant---I'ractice. Industrial Arbitration Act, 1901, 1V0. 59, s. 28 (b), (2). Certain members of the Shipwrights' Union having withdrawn from work, an industrial dispute was referred to the Court by the Registrar in which three unions were involved, two only of which, the Shipbuilders' and Shipjoiners', were registered under the Act, the remaining one, the Shipwrights', being a trade union. In giving directions for hearing the dispute, the Court ordered the shipwrights to return to work and to file a claim within 14 days, and the shipbuilders and shipjoiners were made respondents. The Court will not permit any interruption of industrial operations to take place. Penalties for breach of order. The Court fixed 100 and 5 as the maximum penalty for breach of this order by a union, or an individual member thereof, respectively. REFERENCE of dispute to the Court by the Registrar. The parties to this dispute will be suificiently identified, for the purpose of this report, as the shipbuilders, the shipwrights, and the shipjoiners. The shipbuilders and shipjoiners were registered under the Act as an industrial union of employers and employees respectively. The shipwrights were members of a trade union, but were not registered as an industrial union under the Act. Disputes arose as to the distribution of certain work between 1902. Sept. 3, 9. 1902.
