HILL, Jr., of the firm of Hill & Ferguson, consulting engineers, has been employed as expert by the City of New York, to make an appraisal of the property and rights of the Consolidated Water Company. At the present time Mr. Hill is the president of the Water Board of the City of East Orange, N. J. '97 F. L. PRYOR, lieutenant commander in the U. S. N. R. F., was the guest of honor at a luncheon held at the Lawyers Club, New York, recently by the Alumni Association of Stevens Institute of Technology. Lieutenant Commander Pryor told of the work that had been done at Stevens in organizing and conducting the U. S. N. Steam Engineering School for training men to become naval officers of the rank of ensign. '98 Captain KENNETH S. LITTLEJOHN, of the Engineers Corps, in the American Expeditionary Force, has been recommended by the commander-inchief for the distinguished service cross. On October 20, 1918, the Germans had driven three companies of the 6th Engineers from the woods and it seemed an utter impossibility to dislodge their strong machine gun emplacements. As Claire Chenes Woods was an important strategic point, it was decided to make one more attempt to take it.
