God was not content to give us the law on tables of stone, but deemed it wise that the world should have an expounder of that law in the person of Moses, that through his personality the law should be made clear to the people of Israel. Moses will, therefore, ever stand as a distinct personality in giving expression to the law. Again, when the world was to be redeemed, a personality was created for the purpose, and although nearly two thousand years have passed, that distinct personality of the Son of Man remains as the great and abiding force in our Christian civilization. We find personalities impressing and influencing the world through statesmen and warriors, through professions and business life; but nowhere do we find this personal force of so much Importance as In the business of life insurance. In fact, It is the only established business In the world to-day dependent for Its maintenance upon the personal force and influence of the men who represent it. If we are sick, we send for the physician; if we are In trouble, we go to a lawyer; if we need clothes, we go to our tailor; if we are in need of food, we straightway command the grocer aud butcher to supply our wants.
