Improv Made Easy : The Play-Along Series with a Difference
Improv Made Easy is a play-along improvisation tutor, but it has something extra that really sets it apart from the rest of the pack. Like other play-alongs, you can play the tune from the lead sheet and then practice the changes along with a background rhythm section. But the difference is that we include a complete trascribed example solo for the student to play and listen to! Now the student has a concrete example of an improvised solo played correctly across the changes. In addition, following each solo is an analysis of some of the interesting scale choices and tone selections used in the solo. What a great learning tool! Different solos are used in the distinct alto and tenor books. Sax doublers will want to buy both books for twice the example solos.
