If practicable let the Titles and Golden Texts for the Quarter be repeated by the class or the school. The initials may be written on the blackboard as an aid to the review. It might be well to have the school divided into two sections for antiphonal recitation, one part to give the Title when called for by the superintendent, the other the Golden Text; thus: Superintendent. Lesson Two. First Section. "Afflictions Sanctified." Second Section. 11 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth." If the school has not learned the Titles and Golden Texts they may be read from the Question Book or Lesson Quarterly; but they should be learned. II. Call attention to the Books of the Bible in which these lessons are found. 1. Job, perhaps one of the oldest books of the Bible; written, it may be, in the time of lloses; a poem in its form; designed to teach the benefits of trial. 2. Proverbs, written mainly by King Solomon, about 1,000 years before Christ; in the form of poetical couplets; its aim to show the value of true wisdom. 3. Eoolesiastes, either written by Solomon or by a late writer who personifies him; in strong and impressive style; its aim to show the path to true happiness. 4. Malachi, the last of the prophets; lived about 420 B. C.; rebuked the sins of the Jewish people and proclaimed the coming of the Messiah. III. We now take a theme in the lessons of the Quarter, omitting the Easter Lesson, and group their teachings as related to it, The Path to Success. The Golden Text for the Quarter is, " In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths" (Prov. 3. 6). What are the paths in which God directs more
