ABOUT THIS BOOK Illustrated Bulgarian Vocabulary can be used together with Step by Step. Bulgarian Language and Culture for Foreigners by Radost Sabeva, Margarita Andonova and Zhana Zagorova (available from and other online stores) or separately. Unlike most flashcards that come loose in a box, the flashcards in this book are bound in an easy-to-use book. WHO CAN USE THE BOOK Illustrated Bulgarian Vocabulary is perfect for individual or group study. It can be used by teachers in class for presenting and testing the new vocabulary or by students for self-study and quick review. LEVEL Illustrated Bulgarian Vocabulary is intended mainly for beginners (level A1) but can be also used by elementary and pre-intermediate students (level A2) who want to refresh their knowledge. HOW THE BOOK IS ORGANIZED Illustrated Bulgarian Vocabulary consists of 38 topical units - 18 in the first part and 20 in the second part. Part 1 includes vocabulary related to people and Part 2 - vocabulary related to places and things. Each vocabulary item is represented by a beautiful illustration. Each unit has two facing pages. On the first page the vocabulary is represented by illustrations and words and it can be used for presentation and self-study. On the second page there are only illustrations and it can be used for testing and review. English translations of all vocabulary item are available in the Glossary. PAPERBACK AND KINDLE FORMAT Illustrated Bulgarian Vocabulary Part 1 and Part 2 is available in paperback and kindle fixed layout formats. The e-book includes audio recordings of the vocabulary. About Margarita Andonova

Zhana Zagorova has an MA in Russian Studies from Sofia University and an MBA in Marketing from the City University of Seattle. She also holds a post-graduate certificate for Teaching English as a Foreign Language. Zhana has worked as a lecturer, teacher, and examiner at various universities and language centers in Sofia, Bulgaria where she taught Bulgarian to foreigners, English and Russian to young and adult learners from beginner to advanced levels and facilitated seminars and exams on the cultural history of Bulgaria. Radost Sabeva is a Bulgarian language instructor and cross-cultural facilitator who has been working with a broad range of foreign learners of the Bulgarian language for more than 20 years. She has worked with various embassies and foreign offices in Sofia as well as with individual learners and groups from many countries and nationalities. Radost is a graduate of St. St. Cyril and Methodius University, Veliko Tarnovo and has an MA in Bulgarian Linguistics with a Minor in History. Margarita Andonova is a Bulgarian Language Instructor who has been teaching Bulgarian to foreigners for more than 30 years. She has worked at New Bulgarian Univeristy, Sofia, and Institute for Foreign Students, Sofia and taught Bulgarian at Bulgarian Red Cross and various language centers. Margarita is a graduate of St. St. Cyril and Methodius University, Veliko Tarnovo and St. Kliment Ohridski University, Sofia and has an MA in Bulgarian Linguistics with a Minor in History and an MA in Spanish Studies. Radost, Margarita and Zhana have also worked as Bulgarian language and culture facilitators for US Peace Corps Bulgaria and developed a series of Bulgarian language manuals for Peace Corps Trainees and Volunteers in Bulgaria.
