Review quote

'A generous collection of essays lovingly typeset, illustrated, laid out and produced in a manner that resists a quick glance, a skim read or any easy generalisation or summary ... undeniably obsessively stylish but its contents are by turn informed, witty and movingly personal' - Eye 'A gilt-edged new tome ... an eccentric mix of musings, personal anecdotes and what she, herself, calls `harebrained ideas ... rich, playful and often funny' - Wallpaper* 'Marian's work is absolutely personal, alarmingly obsessive and embarrassingly sensuous' - Michael Bierut, Pentagram
