As I Was Saying
As I Was Saying is a collection of short contemplative poems ranging from Everyday Things, poems focused on daily life and thoughts shared by many to personal perspectives on world events. Seasons Cycles follows the change of seasons through the year, while Dream Dreams takes you to the moon and back to earth. The section World Shaking takes on the serious questions of events from the demise of the Challenger to the collapse of the World Trade Center. In From Dark to Light we ask: The water of eternity, does it taste like sky? As you pass from dark to light, astronaut ever climbing ever searching (asking why?) ever seeking light. China and Beyond draws on reflections by the author on various visits to China. Media Matters focuses on an interaction with major media figures or images taken from the small screen. The final poem is composed of related topics drawn from the book When Asia Was the World, by Stewart Gordon that looks to the thousand-year era of Asia's world dominion.
