Description

HUNGER, NAKEDNESS AND COLD by Claudio Plazas is a riveting true-to-life novel that begins with a child born out of wedlock to a poor single mother and an already too large family on Colombia's Eastern Andes Range. Though his mother tried unsuccessfully many times to place the youngster with a family that could feed him and care for him better than she could, she decided one day to put him on a train and sent him to Bogota to fend for himself. After many adversaries and years struggling and scrambling on the streets, the boy eventually became a voracious reader, educated himself, and ultimately moved to the United States with his children where he found happiness in love and life while seeking the American dream.show more
