Howard Edward Mudd (born February 10, 1942 in Midland, Michigan) was the senior offensive line coach for the Indianapolis Colts and a former American Football offensive lineman. He played seven seasons for the San Francisco 49ers and the Chicago Bears from 1964 to 1970 in the National Football League. He graduated from Hillsdale College in 1963. Mudd was a three time Pro Bowler in 1966, 1967 and 1968. He retired in 1971 due to a knee injury. Mudd has been an offensive line coach for various NFL teams since 1974, and has been the offensive line coach for the Indianapolis Colts since 1998.
