What entitles a man to be on the Rough Committee?--The name, I believe, is a mere nickname, given by one of themselves. 4554. It appears to be a committee of some power and of some value, inasmuch as you assume the direction of it; what entitles a man to be on this Rough Committee?--I am not aware of any title. 4555. If a man died, was his vacancy filled up?--I believe not; I never heard of any vacancy being filled up. 4556. How long has it been known in the borough?--I should say ten years. 4557. I suppose these are not the original members of the Rough Committee?--There are some members who left the borough. There was a man of the name of. Woolfey, who, I think, gave the name to it. 4558.
