Excerpt: ...electidn shall each be held guilty of a misdemeanor, under this act if suchnballot box shall not by them be kept constantly in public view, unless it shall be shown by any judge that he protested against any obstruction of the view of the ballot box, and was overruled by a majority of the judges. Section 95. Each of the clerks of election, in the poll books kept by him, shall enter in the proper column the name of each person whose vote is duly received for deposit in the ballot box; and in the column under the heading "Number" he shall note the successive number of each successive voter; and in the column headed "residence? he shall note the residence of each voter; and under the column headed "party afliliation" the name of the party with which such voter says he is afliliated.
