Harvey Hoadley (Alvan," Jonathan," Jonathan', Abraham', William'), born 16 July 1807 in Tinmouth, Vt.; died 16 January 1887 in Middletown Springs, Vt.; married 2 September 1833 in Middletown Springs, Ann Jennett Gray, daughter of Henry and Minerva (Loomis) Gray, born 27 June 1815 in Middletown Springs; resides in Middletown Springs. Harvey Hoadley was a blacksmith by trade. He came to Middletown Springs May 1, 1831, to work for Mr. Gray and lived in his family two years, at the end of which time he married thelatter's daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Hoadley lived together fifty-two years. He was a prominent man in his town and an earnest member and worker in the Methodist Episcopal Church.
