Although now advanced in years he is still to be found in the active superintendence of the enterprise with which he has been so long and popularly identified. THE WASHINGTON STORAGE WAREHOUSE AND VAN COMPANY Limited, Nos. 2296,2298and 2300 Eighth Avenue.--The Washington Storage Warehouse and Van Company Limited, was incorporated in the year 1890, under the laws of the state of New York, with a capital stock of $200,000. The premises owned by the company consist of an imposing six-story building, covering a ground area of 7,500 square feet and being perfectly fire-proof. The materials used in the construction of the same are brick, iron and stone, the edifice being, moreover, equipped with automatic extinguishers supplied by large water tanks upon the roof. The company started with only a single wagon five years ago, and it now owns fifteen large padded vans for the removal and transfer of goods, either in the city or the country, such vans having the familiar picture of George Washington on horseback, artistically painted on the side.
