About Fay a Skeete-Sobers

Fay Skeete-Sobers, MSc. is a certified accountant and financial services professional, crafter and mom of two, who loves to cook. She enjoys preparing nutritious meals for her family and considers herself a self-taught cook. Fay also enjoys decorating and is currently pursuing an interior design course. She also participated in many local craft shows with her creative handmade candles and soaps. In fact, she views her candle and soap making as an extension of her love for cooking. She enjoys using her hands and loves a good challenge to be creative and beautify her environment. She grew up in Barbados but spent most of her adult life living abroad experiencing various cultures. She lived in Canada, Jamaica and currently resides in Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands with her family. She now spends most of her time as a stay at home mom raising her young daughter. Fay's decision to write this cookbook at this time came as a form of therapy as she fights a rare form of Pulmonary Fibrosis, without a cure. It was also inspired by her children as a family keepsake.show more
