The shootings extend to about 6000 acres, chiefly moor of unsurpassed quality, and should yield in good seasons 750 brace of grouse, besides other game. There is good trout fishing in Loch Ruthven and in the River Nairn. The House is about iij4 miles from Inverness. A post passes it daily, and there is a doctor 1 mile off. GLENELG. The shootings of Glenelg extend to about 40,000 acres, and a fair bag would be 150 grouse, 70 black-game, 20 partridges, 80 to 100 woodcocks, S to 7 stags, 5 roe deer, and about 150 hares. There is very good salmon and sea trout fishing in the Glenelg River and a smaller one. Steamers from Oban and Glasgow will land passengers at Glenelg, where there is a comfortable hotel. Strome Ferry is 16 miles from the hotel, eight of which are by sea. GLENFESHIE FOREST. This magnificent deer forest--ranking as one of the 6nest in the country, and certainly one of the most desirable--extends to about 60,000 acres, and generally yields from 80 to 100 stags of good size and quality. The grouse shooting is also remarkably good, usually yielding over 1000 brace, in addition to black-game, ptarmigan, &c. There is abundance of excellent trout fishing in various lochs and rivers. The Mansion House, which is situated amid extremely grand mountain scenery, is large and commodious, containing dining-room, 2 drawing-rooms, 8 bed-rooms, 2 dressing-rooms, 6 or 7 servants' bed-rooms, kitchen, scullery, butler's pantry (with hot and cold water), servants' hall, &c. There are also stables, coach-house, kennels, and garden. The nearest railway station is Kingussie, on the Highland Railway. Supplies can be got from Kingussie....
