Help Is On the Way
The Santo Tomas Diary of Annette and Scotty Marsh. This is the story of a family that spent World War II in the Japanese civilian internment camp in Manila in the Philippines. Married in 1939, Scotty was a banker with the National City Bank of New York, Far Eastern Division, when the family, which now included two daughters, was interned by the Japanese in early 1942. Based on the diary kept by them, this book provides a brief glimpse at what it was like to live through the war always believing "Help is on the way". 8 photos.
