The butterfly flashed to and fro, the bright Anemones their fairy carols humm'd, The evening breezes whisper'd, the oaks rustled, The nightingale sang silver-toned and clear; And amid all the whispering, rustling, singing, Prattled with cold metallic tuneless voice The faded she, that hung upon my arm.
