Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Heathcote-Graytown National Park is located in the North Central region of Victoria, Australia. The park, which includes sections of the Great Dividing Range, adjoins a number of state forests, including the McIvor Ranges State Forest and is located just outside the town of Heathcote. The area's status as a national park is relatively new, having only been gazetted by the Victorian Government in 2002. This was a controversial issue at the time.[citation needed] It was primarily proclaimed to protect Victoria's diminishing box-ironbark forests, crucial in retaining Victoria's biodiversity. The park can be accessed via the Northern Highway and is approximately 110 km from Melbourne.
