Less luggage more comfort ! In order to reach our destination safe, we need to travel light. This applies to the journey of life as well. Many philosophers and great thinkers have been imploring us down the ages, to let go of the past. They have been beseeching upon us to forget and forgive those who have hurt us and move on with life. For life is a temporary journey to be wasted in hating someone. Is it then possible for anyone to forgive her spouse for his infidelity? Well, there are amidst us a few unsung heroes. Lakshmi is a selfless women, who loves her husband and children so dearly. After enjoying a happy and successful marital life for Eighteen years, she is in for a shock when she learns about the love affair her husband is having with her best friend. Though Lakshmi perseveres a lot, she is unable to change her husband's wayward mind. Adversity, failure and discouragement seemed to be staring her in the face unmercifully. Forgiving him at last, she decides to change her attitude and devotes her entire life to the task of helping her children find happiness. Compromising on her own happiness and joy, she bore it all with a smile, not once letting her children know about the agony and pain she went through to give them a comfortable life. Many years later, her son Mukesh faces a similar situation in life. His newly married wife drops a bombshell that her parents had forced her into this marriage. Nithya tries to maintain a distance with him and one fine day, she goes out to meet her Ex-lover against Mukesh's order. Circumstances are unfavourable to Nithya and she lands up in trouble. She is kidnapped and is forced into prostitution. Alone, trapped in a cell, she phones up to her husband and pleads with him to rescue her. The good values he has learnt from his mother softens his heart and Mukesh saves her. However, he is not willing to accept her back into his life. But Nithya is determined to stay with him, no matter what. Is she able to win his heart ? This Novel is intended for all those young girls who are too infatuated and fall out with their parents in relentless pursuit of their love and pleasure. The theme of this fiction brings out a clash of generation gap modelled on the so called concept of New Woman.
