"healing the Hurt!" : What to Do When You Still Love the Lord, But Have Been Wounded by the Church!
Backbiting is a sin and just because you are saved does not give anyone the right to talk about Christians who my fall into sin. According to Matthew 18, Jesus also taught that conflict resolution among church members ought to begin with the aggrieved party attempting to resolve their dispute with the offending party alone. Only if this did not work would the process escalate to the next step, in which another church member would become involved. After that if the person at fault still would not "hear," the matter was to be fully investigated by the church elders, and if not resolved to be then exposed publicly. Leonard Le'Doux, Jr. shares his experience of gossip, and how it affected his life. He shares how gossip is a disease that most overlook. He shares how a lot of the times, people do not share their pain with others, due to their feelings of being embarrassed, feelings that no one would understand, or the feelings of being judged. Not sharing your experiences can prevent the growth of another. In writing "Healing the Hurt" book, it has been the bandages for his open wounds inflicted by others through gossip! His openness in his book about gossip has opened a pathway of healing that has been long overdue and has given him the victory over his inner silence.
