Levinge commandcd the Royal Artillery during the whole of the Kaflir came paign under Sir Benjamin D'Urbnn in 1835, and was several times mentioned in General Orders. 81 Capt. Freese served on the China Expedition, and was slightly wounded at Chiu Klan Foo. 88gCapt. Warburton served with the Royal Artillery on the north coast of Spain from Feb. 1837 to Oct. 1838, and was wounded on the 15th March 1837, near llernani. 85 Major Wilmot volunteered for active service in New Zculand (being on the stat? in Van Dieman's Land) in Jan. 1845, and commanded the Artillery at the attack of Kawiti's Pah at Ohiawai on the 1st July, and at the destruction of the same on the llth July; also at the destruction of Arratua's Pah on the 16th July. He commanded the Artillery throughout the whole of the operations, and in the various affairs which took place before Ruapekapeka in Dec. 1845, and Jan. 1846, including the capture of that Stockade. He was also engaged in the occupation of the valley of Hutt in April 1846. 87 Major Young served on the north coast of Spain from January 1838 to August: 1840, and was present in all the affairs and operations that took place from Jan. 1838 to the conclusion of the war in front of San Sebastian; and also at the camp of Paz y Fueros on the Bidassoa in Dec. 1838 and Jan. 1839. Also in the operations on the Yang-taeKiang in China, including the storm and capture of Chin Kiang Foo: he was also present at the demonstration before Nankin.
