Harland Stimson "Hypie" Rowe (April 20, 1896 - May 26, 1969), was a Major League Baseball third baseman who played in 1916 with the Philadelphia Athletics. He batted left and threw right-handed. Rowe had a .139 batting average in 17 games, five hits in 36 at-bats, in his one year career. He was born and died in Springvale, Maine. Major League Baseball (MLB) is the highest level of professional baseball in the United States and Canada, consisting of teams that play in the National League and the American League. The two leagues merged in 2000 into a single MLB organization led by the Commissioner of Baseball after 100 years as separate legal entities.
