Hanko railway station is a train station in the port city of Hanko, Finland along the Hanko-Hyvink railway. The station is located approximately 50 kilometres (30 mi) away from Karis railway station and is the terminus for the line. The current station building represents the post-functionalism of the 1950s. The building was completed in 1949 and it was designed by architect Jarl Ungern. The Hanko-Hyvink Railroad, 1872-1875, was Finland's first privately funded railway.show more
