Description

This is a tale tragic at its core but as with all such things there must be an element of comedy to produce empathy. Set in the liberal thinking 18 Century which creates a perfect setting for this story of devilment and destruction to flourish. After being expelled from society for a culmination of bad choices and liberties too extreme for sufferance a man finds himself without hope and perhaps God. The only assistance offered is from the enigmatic Mr Black, a devil through and through but still in such dark places it is difficult to apportion blame. Perhaps this soul was always bound this way and is why perhaps it is difficult to feel sympathy, or perhaps it is just that a very convincing devil, as a fiction on a page, is far more enjoyable than a tortured soul and is a safe distance to get to know one.show more

About Miss Donna Maria McCarthy

This is my first venture into publishing, though I have always enjoyed creating and telling stories (in fact that is what I would call myself rather than an author, a story teller). The seventh child with six older brothers! I will let you make your own assumptions! Born in Great Britain and love this beautiful country, love its history love its diversity! Is that enough? I hope so! Hope if you have got this far you will buy my book and enjoy it as much as I did, leave feedback, love my book and recommend it to somebody else. Happy reading!show more
