Description

Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Gunton is a railway station on the Bittern Line which connects the city of Norwich to the North Norfolk coastal towns of Cromer and Sheringham in East Anglia, England. There is no village of this name, the station being actually situated in the parish of Thorpe Market. Gunton Station was built primarily for the convenience of Lord Suffield who lived at nearby Gunton Hall, a major investor in the original East Norfolk Railway Company which built the railway from Norwich to Cromer. Gunton's rather splendid station buildings are now beautifully preserved but are privately owned.show more
