""You're not just a job anymore.""
It was supposed to be a 72-hour mission, in and out, until Brandt Stryker got stranded in the arid African plains with predators before him, a killer at his heels and an exotic princess by his side. Dalilah Al Arif stirs his blood, makes him crave things he'd lost long ago--but she is off-limits, promised to a sheik.
Dalilah's wedding contract stipulates she must wed before her 30th birthday--just months away. It's a duty she accepts. But in the arms of her handsome protector, she's torn between her sense of duty and honor, and her freedom. And as the terrorists close in, she fears the most dangerous creature in the savannah is Brandt himself....

Our customer reviews

One of my guilty pleasures is a yummy Harlequin novel, accompanied by other guilty pleasures such as a bar of dark chocolate and a full glass of red wine. I had this one waiting patiently to be enjoyed and since I am trying to get my Netgalley reviews going at a fast pace, I nabbed this novel by Loreth Anne White off the list. This novel follows the usual Harlequin romance formula, but it was also filled with nail biting action sequences. And it features one of my favorite types of female character - a damsel that refuses to be in distress. Sure, she needs protection, but she's full of fire. Of course, the bad guy(s) in this novel are way past her league, and that is where Brandt - the hero of the hour - comes in. And no surprise here - there is a little sizzle between them, but a damn wedding contract that could get in the way of true love, if this cold blooded villain doesn't get to them both first that is . But rest assured, people! Part of the Harlequin formula is to ensure that our lovers find a way. I enjoyed the story but it was somewhat forgettable. It was a nice short escape though, as I tend to get through Harlequin novels fairly quickly. It was well written, filled with tons of action and suspense. And.. of course... a lot of swoon worthy romance! *I received a eBook copy of this book for free to review from the author/publisher through Netgalley; this in no way influenced my review, all opinions are 100% honest and my own.*show more
