Selected children's books key into Year 3 Term 2 Range requirements of the National Literacy Strategy Framework for Teaching. The Teacher's book objectives (based on Objectives from the framework for Year 3 Term 2) involves: exploring conventions of these story types; identifying typical themes, morals, stereotypical character; investigating language of this kind of storytelling; and, considering the difference between myth, legend and fable. "Green Fiction" contains six copies each of: "Greek Myths for Young Children" by Marcia Williams; "The Hare and The Tortoise and other Animal Stories" by Sally Grindley and John Bendall-Brunello; "Anancy and Mr Dry-Bone" by Fiona French; and, "The Outlaw Robin Hood" by Julian Atterton.
