Description

Gossamer Threads Gossamer Threads is a memoir intertwining pieces written during the author's addiction and later, once sober, exposing some of the trails of living life on life's terms. Along with these old writings he offers today's reflection on his own web of insanity, love, lust, anger and struggle. This offering is by no means a complete accounting of his life but simply a glimpse into the life a man growing into his adulthood. Here is an offering, a gesture, to share that there is hope and healing after addiction. It shows that even in sobriety, successful and doing all the 'right things' bad things happen and that life is a daily challenge; along with joy and love there is pain and suffering. The challenge is to always strive for the light even when all one can see is darkness. This is a book about hope and love and life draped in shades of gray with sparks of lust and anger.show more

About MR Albert G Lotito

Albert G. Lotito was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He emigrated, at the tender age of three years old, to New York City. He spent his teenage years, in the late 1970's, roaming the streets of Greenwich Village and the Alphabet City. He career spans areas a wide range of areas, (e.g. taxi driver, packing bagels, exporter, translation and editing) but more than anything his passion was Software development and Systems Engineering. He spent far too many years living an addicts life (both functional and non-functional) and, with help, became a sober, productive member of society. This resulted in a family, that is: four kids, a wife, a dog, two car notes and a mortgage. Today, even with near two decades of sobriety, he faces the struggles of daily living head on. Currently he resides in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania where is it much too cold.show more
