From the multi award-winning picture book maker of A Bit Lost, Oh No, George! and Shh! We Have a Plan, comes the ultimate bedtime book.

A series of exquisitely coloured cut pages of increasing size introduce woodland families - bears, deer, rabbits and teeny, tiny mice - who are all beginning to feel really ... rather ... tired ... YAWN! "Dear me," says Great Big Bear, "it must be time for bed!" But Little Bear is certainly not sleepy - he's wide awake! (For now...) With sublime, starry night time scenes and an infectious yawny "Good night" refrain, Chris Haughton creates a lulling bedtime read, perfect for parents and children to share together.

Review quote

Cut pages are cleverly used to take the reader on a journey through the woods, while repetitive, sleepy actions and a well-paced text make this a pleasure to read aloud. * The Bookseller * Chris Haughton's blocky, expressive style and terse text are teamed with cut pages in a richly coloured, hypnotic ode to sleep; this perfect starlit bedtime book will have parents yawning dangerously alongside their offspring. * The Guardian * The visuals are the main appeal of this beautiful bedtime book, which explodes with a fantastic pink-and-purple starry colour palette, as well as having a simple and lulling bedtime story that will help little ones yawn along. * Booktrust * A stunningly illustrated bedtime book for toddlers. [...] Goodnight Everyone is a lulling bedtime read that parents and children can share. * Women's Way * If this beautifully illustrated book doesn't persuade reluctant toddlers to settle down for a night's sleep then nothing will. [...] Worth a try for age two and upwards. * Irish Examiner * There's something genuinely magical about the new book from Chris Haughton: reading it before a little person's bedtime makes them very sleepy indeed. Boldly illustrated in a vibrant palette, this might just be every parent - and child's - dream book. * Huffington Post UK * A perfect read together book sure to lull even the liveliest of cubs into a deep sleep. * Little London * The minimalist text is lovely to read aloud and the gloriously bold block colours gently lead the listeners to a reassuring conclusion. The end-papers provide and interesting introduction to the planets and the night skies. * Carousel * the stunningly illustrated bedtime book [...] with gorgeous, starry night time scenes and an infectious yawny 'goodnight' refrain, this book is perfect for parents and children to share. * Sunday Independent, Dublin * A series of exquisitely coloured cut pages of increasing size introduce woodland families - with sublime, starry night time scenes and an infectious "Good night" refrain! * Primary Times * a vibrantly coloured bedtime tale featuring a host of animals is a feat for the eyes * Irish Independent * "[...] revolves around a simple animal story about bedtime in the forest, elevated by indented pages in hot pink and indigo tones, night-sky inspired characters, Great Bear (Ursa Major) and Little Bear (Ursa Minor), and a rather lovely start chart on the inside front cover." * Evening Standard * "I find his palette of purples, oranges and browns incredibly soothing and this is a lovely book." * Irish Times, Children's Books of the Year recommended by Anna Carey *
