Giorgio Oberweger (December 22, 1913, Trieste - October 14, 1998, Rome) was an Italian athlete who competed mainly in the discus throw and in the 110 hs. He competed for Italy in the 1936 Summer Olympics held in Berlin, Germany in the discus throw where he won the bronze medal. In 1938 in the European Championships Oberweger in the discus throw won the silver medal. At the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin, 29 athletics events were contested, 23 for men and 6 for women. The program of events was unchanged from the previous Games. There was a total of 776 participants from 43 countries competing.
