Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Giampaolo Urlando (born 7 January 1945 in Padova) is a retired Italian hammer thrower. He ended up in fourth place at the 1984 Summer Olympics, but was disqualified for testosterone use. The modern or Olympic hammer throw is an athletic throwing event where the object is to throw a heavy metal ball attached to a wire and handle. The name "hammer throw" is derived from older competitions where an actual sledge hammer was thrown.
