Professor Georgina Mace, CBE, FRS is Professor of Conservation Science and Director of the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) Centre for Population Biology, Imperial College London. She was the winner of the 2007 International Cosmos Prize. She has been a Vice President of the British Ecological Society, President of the Society for Conservation Biology, a member of the Science Committee of Diversitas and editor of the Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society.
