George Sidney Ross (June 27, 1892 - April 22, 1935) was a Major League Baseball pitcher. Ross played for the New York Giants in the 1918 season. In one game, Ross pitched in 2.1 innings, and gave up two hits, with two strikeouts. He batted and threw left-handed. Ross was born in San Rafael, California and died in Amityville, New York. Major League Baseball (MLB) is the highest level of professional baseball in the United States and Canada, consisting of teams that play in the National League and the American League. The two leagues merged in 2000 into a single MLB organization led by the Commissioner of Baseball after 100 years as separate legal entities.
