Cnsrmsn AND CONTROL.--ODG channel at all stages; straight for 100 feet above and below gage; right bank nearly vertical to above high water; left bank low with gentle slope. Control composed of boulders and gravel; shifting. Exrnsuss or o1scnAROE.--Maximum stage recorded during period of record, 2.8 feet at 5.30 p. m., November 2, 1915 (discharge, 200 million gallons per day, or 309 second-feet, stream frequently dry. Drvx-: ns1o.1s.--Water for power house and irrigation diverted Ii miles above gage; partly measured in tailrace called Olowalu ditch. R cu1..'r1o1z.--Diversion above station. UTlLIZATION.--LOW and medium flow past gage is diverted for irrigation of sugar cane. AccuRAcY.----Gage read twice daily. Results poor. Control shifts greatly and insufiicient measurements were made to develop good rating curves. The following discharge measurement was made by H. A. R. Austin: July 21, 1915: Gage height, 0.44 foot; discharge, 2.4 second-feet. Monthly discharge of Olowalu Stream near Olowalu, Maui, for year ending June.30, 1916.
