Richard Underwood, rector of St. John and St. Nichols, Hereford, by whom she has issue two sons and a dau. The eldest son, Thomas Evans, Esq., 6. 25 April, 1772. d. 1 May, 1819, was treasurer of the co. of Hereford, m. 15 Oct. 1801, MaryFrances, only dau. of the Rev. Thomas Wntkins clerk, of Pembroke College, Oxford, prebendary of Warham, in the Cathedral Church of Hereford, rector of Wcaton-under-Pcnyard co. Hereford, whose only sister, Frances, m. the Rev. Thomas Ireland, D.D., prebendary of Wells, and rector of Christ Church, Bristol; a doputy-lieut. of the cos. of Somerset and Gloucester, and h id issue one son, the Bev. ThomasBickards Ireland, since deceased. The Rev. Thomas Watkins and Mrs. Ireland were the only children of the Rev. Thomas Watkina, clerk, LL.B., of Brazenose College, Oxford, and successively rector of Knill, Byton, Tretyrc, and Hichaelchurch, and vicar of Dewsall, with the Chapel of Callow annexed, all in the co. of Hereford, b. 30 Sept. 16S7, and d. 18 May, 1740, by Frances his wife, who he m. Oct. 1734; she was Frances Bickards, dau. of Peter Bickards, Esq. of Enjobb or Evenjobb. oo. Radnor; aud the lastnamed Thomas Wntkins, clerk, was only child of the Rev. Thomas Watkins, clerk, rector of Ashton, co. Hereford, to which he was instituted 10 May, 1677, and m. Ann, dau. of Richard Hoskdns, Esq. of Aymestry, co. Hereford.
