Colonel Stern had long suspected that the nuclear detonation under Lake Nasser, which had ultimately destroyed Egypt, also bestowed other benefits on the Jewish State. A fault line had fractured and the vast, empty caverns under Jordan were now filled with Saudi crude oil. Israel was now in the oil business.
