About Daniel King

Daniel King started playing chess at the age of five and is now an International Grandmaster - the highest title a professional chess player can achieve. Daniel has written thirteen books on chess to date, including Kingfisher's Chess - From First Moves to Checkmate. He has also contributed articles to Britain's Independent on Sunday, The Sunday Times, The Guardian and The Daily Telegraph. In addition to chess and writing, Daniel has had extensive and varied broadcasting experience.
