This patient had never had a child, and the indications were that hemorrhage had extended as far as the diaphragm. The pregnancy had probably advanced to the second or third month. The hemorrhage was ex tensive. When I operated on the fifth day, the blood clots were still floating around in the peritoneal cavity. I Operated very suc cessfully, although there was some suppuration along the line of incision. As in the previous case, one ovary and tube were left.
