About Michael Carrithers

About the Authors Michael Carrithers is Lecturer in Anthropology at the University of Durham and author of The Forest Monks of Sri Lanka. Raymond Dawson is Lecturer in Chinese at the University of Oxford. He is the author of several books, including The Chinese Experience and Imperial China, and editor of The Legacy of China. Humphrey Carpenter is the author of biographies of Auden and Tolkien and co-author of The Oxford Companion to Children's Literature.
