Joseph Rhoads 1 vs Decree Alexander Bartram's Estate I Upon the Allegations made and proofs exhibited the Justices of the Supreme court do decree to Joseph Rhoads the claimant the sum of forty nine pounds sixteen shillings and six pence Debt out of the Estate of Alexr. Bartram forfeited by his Attainder of Treason with five pounds nine shillings and six pence costs at Philadelphia 22nd Septr. 1779. From the Records of EDW. Samuel Biles, At a Supreme Court held at Philadelphia on the tenth day of January last it appearing by the Certificate of the Comptroller General dated the nineteenth day of August One thousand seven hundred and eighty five that the forfeited estate of Samuel Biles which had come into the public hearing previously to that time did not amount to the sum due from the said Samuel Biles and decreed to the several Claimants by this court. The Court taking the same into Consideration, also the neat amount of the said forfeited Estate, ascertained by the said Comptroller General with the Interest to the first day of July one thousand seven hundred and eighty three and also the several sums of money decreed to the several claimants having respect to legal Liens Do Decree that the sum of seventeen pounds nine shillings and two pence one farthing...show more
