The Flames of Guilt
Prince Michael is a wealthy nobleman from the Kingdom of Light. After the tragic loss of his wife and son in childbirth, a prophetess tells Michael that he is meant to be with another - with the mysterious "bearer of the Flames of Guilt". Reluctantly, he takes the advice to heart, but as the years pass, Michael fails to find his intended. Losing all hope that the prophecy will be fulfilled, the prince becomes depressed and lonely. But then one day, he pays a visit to the neighboring Kingdom of Gloom, and encounters the beautiful but notorious Princess Evangeline. She has the reputation for being a liar, thief, and murderer, but as he is sucked into the world of Gloom by circumstances beyond his control, Michael finds himself both horrified and intrigued. Gloom is a place where the sun never shines, and daggers are drawn without discretion. But the enigmatic Evangeline both attracts and repels him, and as he follows the path to his destiny, he finds that life is not at all exactly what one might expect it to be.
