A.H. Reed was the founder of Reed Publishing, and the author of over 100 books, covering all manner of genres from fiction to Maori texts to educational material. An iconic figure in New Zealand history due to his unsurpassed services to publishing and literature, he is also well known for being a keen walker - having walked the length of NZ - right up until his death in 1975.
