His first duty is go to the local high school and negotiate the release of the principal and his mother who are being held hostage. Together with his wife and son, he follows Kelley and Phil as they move to the Tampa Bay area where the governor asks Alan to set up swat teams throughout the state. While training a team in Tallahassee he leads his men as they save young children stuck on top of a Ferris wheel. Later, along with his sister and brother-in-law, he goes searching for a serial killer who has been raping and murdering prostitutes. Ashley, following her father's footsteps as a lawyer, finds herself up against none other than her father in a sensational lawsuit against a prominent soccer player.
