Child abuse is a national tragedy. Sadly, more than half of the nation's 1,000,000 annual runaways do what they do because they have been physically abused or neglected. At least one third of runaways have also been sexually abused. "Favorite Daughter," the story of an abused, emotionally disturbed adolescent, gives the compelling account of a "favorite" daughter torn between fantasy and reality--life and death. The abuse and the running away from home is only the beginning of her story--the beginning of a nightmare.
