It opened on 4 October 1847 and served the village of Fangfoss. It closed on 3 January 1959. In 1987 the station was given a Grade II listed building status. Fangfoss is a village in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It is situated approximately 11 miles (18 km) to the east of the city of York and 3.5 miles (5.6 km) north west of the town of Pocklington.
