Description

Family Prayers from Proverbs for Wisdom, Wealth, & Wellness is a tool designed to help families develop wisdom and better relationships through prayer and meditation on the Book of Proverbs. The unique focus and method makes this book different than any prayer guide you have seen before. Each prayer is formulated to engage the minds and spirits of every member of the family in a process of connecting abstract expressions of wisdom to events and challenges in their real lives. As you work through these prayers together, your family will begin to see real, positive character growth. They will learn more about their place in God's Kingdom and the community. They will make more thoughtful choices leading to a better future. They will begin to place higher value on hard work and perseverance. They will discover the wealth that comes from being generous. Most importantly, they will begin to internalize the time-proven principals of wisdom that Solomon recorded 3000 years ago! "Family Prayers from Proverbs" contains three to four short prayers for each of the thirty-one chapters of Proverbs. It is not a long and complicated book full of deep theological essays. Its value is not in the number of words it contains, but in the impact those words will have on you and your children. Praying together as a family and meditating on the meaning and practical applications of the Proverbs will change your lives.show more

About Jay Carper

Jay Carper lives with his wife and son in Brenham, Texas, where they are part of a small community of Torah-observant believers. His parents have been involved in ministry with the Assemblies of God and other organizations since before he was old enough to know it, and he inherited their love of the Bible and its Author. He believes that a person can only obtain eternal salvation through faith in the grace of God which was made manifest in the death and resurrection of Jesus. While searching for a deeper understanding of God's love for His people, Jay began exploring God's Law and the Hebraic roots of the Christian faith in the 1990s and has been an active participant in Torah-observant congregations since 2001.show more
