Description

The Kimble Detective Agency - Book 2 In this second instalment of The Kimble Detective Agency series, Families and Thieves, we follow the imaginative and intelligent Peyton and his trusty, enthusiastic assistant Jackson Chadwick as they work together to unravel two separate and equally intriguing mysteries. The first is an apparently simple theft of an art piece at the school where Peyton's wife Sherri is a teacher. After interviewing all of the students in the class, they are still left at a dead end with the plot further thickening when a second painting is stolen. The pair accompanies the class on a school trip to an art museum where things take a dramatic turn for the worse and reach a deadly and frightening climax. Have the two private detectives been too slow at identifying what was right in front of them, or will they be able to pull it together at the last minute and make sure justice is delivered? In the midst of all this, Peyton and Jackson are also dealing with a second, and much more personal, matter - the unspoken secret of Peyton's childhood. Peyton is a man on a mission and no one will stand in his way. Together with Jackson, he uncovers some surprising secrets that have the potential to affect all their lives, and further secures the future of his already very successful detective agency in this charming, funny, thrilling and exciting adventure story.show more

About R H Carter

Full Name: Roy Howard Carter Hometown: Magnetic Island, Queensland, Australia Born in the UK, R. H. Carter spent a few years with the R.A.F. before being medically discharged with a back injury. He then spent many years flying a desk in the corporate world (which was never really him), before turning to the world of online marketing. In that realm he is a successful coach, mentor and international public speaker and is the author of a number of non-fiction books such as, 'Can A Beer Mat Change Your Life?', which is a compilation of his popular monthly newsletter 'Letters From A Small Island'. Hankering after the Mediterranean lifestyle, he moved to Cyprus and spent ten happy years there with his wife Lyn, before moving to another (much smaller) island, this time in the Coral Sea, in Queensland, Australia. 'Maggie', as Magnetic Island is affectionately known, is the place he and Lyn now call home and it is here that Roy has settled down to enjoy writing fiction. Roy first got the bug for writing fiction after his primary school teacher gave him an A+ for his essay 'Life Inside A Ping-Pong Ball'' when he was ten years old. For More information about R. H.
