Our customer reviews

It¢??s been five, life-changing years for Hanna Nichols since she last saw Marco D¢??Alessandro. After years of friendship and one night night of passion, Marco leaves Hanna, never to see her again. That is until five years later, of course. I really enjoyed Fall from India Place. I liked the characters, relished the love story and thoroughly appreciated the drama. However a few things really bothered me. For starters, Hanna was a bit of a whiner. I understand that she was in a world of pain and that what Marco did to her is by all means, unforgivable, but I would have liked to see an open mind, at the least. To me, it was pretty obvious that he left to protect her (although that¢??s not why he left at all) but after years of friendship, an open mind was the least she could give him. An open mind and a chance to explain. She does make him run around an awful lot before she lets him elucidate his side. Thing is, Hanna knew that Marco had ghosts in his past. She even helped him confront them back when they were teens. But five years later, when he returns she ended up making him feel worthless¢??just like he used to feel all those years ago. To me, that was a kind of a turn off. And sort of unforgivable. Even in the end, when all was well. And then there¢??s Marco. Sigh. ¢??I¢??m not going to hide that I want to get to know who you are now. I¢??m also not going to hide the fact that I think you¢??re still the classiest, most ******* beautiful woman I¢??ve ever seen, or the fact that I remember the taste of you and it still makes me hard.¢?? Samantha Young has written an array of wonderful, gorgeous, SWOONY, young men, so there is no doubt Marco is another. He knew he messed up by leaving Hanna all those years ago and he¢??s back to correct his mistakes. It¢??s really, really mature of him. So along with this mature attitude and the fact that he pursues her relentlessly, makes her open her heart to him again and sometimes says things that made me tingle all over, Marco is a delight to read. There were times in the book when my fingers itched to slap him but everything was resolved in good time. ¢??I know you still care.¢?? His words whispered across my lips, his mouth almost touching mine. I shivered, my breath stuttering. ¢??And, baby,¢?? he continued, ¢??I don¢??t think I can pretend any longer that I don¢??t think about being inside you nearly every hour of every day.¢?? His words were almost the equivalent of his mouth between my legs. There were a few times that I felt that the drama dragged and the plot could have been resolved a bit earlier, I can say now that the book is perfect as is. Also, meeting the old gang was amazing and you won¢??t believe these people that you read about so long ago are now older and wiser and mature-er. It¢??s really rad. Also, Cole. Jo¢??s younger brother Cole is all grown up now and the next book in the On Dublin Street series is based on him! Mild squee! Considering the gigantic part he played in Hanna¢??s romance, I¢??m assuming we¢??re going to see Hanna in his book too. All in all, not a bad book at all, but compared to the other books in the series, I¢??d say this one was a bit of a letdown. No harm done, though. I loved Marco :D Hanna and Marco¢??s second chance romance was equally tragic and heart-warming. Special shout-out to all the little ones in this book¢??and there are definitely a lot of them *-*show more
